Michael Beston is the IW Councillor for Shanklin Central, first elected in May 2017, re-elected in 2021. He also represents the area on Shanklin Town Council.
Michael lives in the heart of Shanklin with his wife Sally where they run and operate a small tourism related business for over the last 22 years. They have two daughters who were both educated at local schools and are now pursuing their own careers.
Michael has a keen personal interest in Shanklin Theatre and sits as a member of the Friends of the Theatre, a role he has held since 2008. He is also a trustee of Shanklin Theatre Community Trust and a director of the newly developing Shanklin Performing Arts Centre.
